Visit Disney’s Riviera Resort!

Disney's Riviera Resort

Have you heard about Walt Disney World’s newest resort? Disney’s Riviera Resort, located in the Epcot resort area, is themed after Walt Disney’s own trips to Europe, with hints of Italy and France throughout the property. The resort opened a year ago in December 2019 and has been welcomed with raving reviews!

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in a tower studio room in July 2020. I had previously stayed at value and moderate resorts but had not yet experienced all that a deluxe Walt Disney World resort had to offer. My expectations were blown out of the water!

The room had a pull-down queen bed, a gorgeous bathroom with marble floors (it was possibly the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen!), and, best of all, a view of Spaceship Earth at Epcot from the balcony! The room featured beautiful paintings from Disney movies like Peter Pan and The Aristocats, both of which added riviera flair with a hint of Disney magic.

One thing that I loved about this resort is that if you’re hungry, you’ve got options! The Riviera Resort is home to Walt Disney World’s newest character meal, Toppolino’s Terrace. Here, you can see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck at breakfast. If you’re looking for something a little faster, head downstairs to Primo Piatto, Riviera Resort’s quick service dining option. You can dine inside or head outside to sit by the water. There is a beautiful view of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Skyliner. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a day of fun at the theme parks.

Speaking of the Skyliner, having transportation options is another great Riviera perk! Not only do you have access to Disney’s bus transportation, but the Riviera Resort is one of only a few resorts with Skyliner access. The Skyliner provides quick and fun transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, adding to the list of reasons why the Riviera is a great option for your next trip to Walt Disney World.

If you get a chance, explore the pool area at Riviera, too! Not only is a beautiful pool, but there is also an interactive water play area for your little Mouseketeers. You can also play bocce ball or outdoor chess (these amenities may not be available at all times). This resort also has an athletic center, walking trail, and pool bar available for your enjoyment.

My favorite part of Disney’s Riviera Resort, though, are the mosaic murals near the Skyliner. The murals stretch from one side of the tunnel to the other, surrounding you in Disney magic. The breathtaking art depicts scenes from Peter Pan and Tangled and are absolutely worth a stop to see.

Next time you visit Walt Disney World, I hope you’ll stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort. It added a new level of magic to our trip, and I cannot wait to go back. To make your trip even more magical, book with a Vacation Wizard! Contact your Wizard today to get started.
