I recently visited Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia, and, wow, what an unbelievable trip! From the moment I stepped off my transfer van and into the Sandals Club lounge and was handed my tropical welcome drink, my vacation had started! It was the easiest check in ever! The club lounge has drinks, snacks, and even a cappuccino machine. Then I was taken to my Sunset Bluff Penthouse suite with the most amazing view! La Toc is a beautiful resort with beach and mountains. Yes, it’s hilly but they will shuttle you to other parts of the resort. I didn’t mind walking, though, because the view was breathtaking!
There are so many great dining options at Sandals resorts with their global gourmet five star dining. Do you like Italian cuisine, Japanese hibachi, French food, or a British Pub? Fine dining or casual food? They have all of that. Can’t decide which appetizer you want? Order more than one. I loved eating lunch at Neptune’s open air restaurant with the ocean breeze and listening to the waves. Of course, I think one of my favorite things was ordering room service and eating my breakfast from my balcony looking at that ocean and mountain view!
What is there to do? What isn’t there to do? There are so many options. During the day you can kayak, paddleboard, snorkel, jump on a Hobie Cat, golf, shuffleboard, and they even give Scuba lessons! There are multiple pools onsite – some are lively with music, while others are quiet. Of course, there are pool bars, too! Maybe you want to visit the spa? How about a massage in a pavilion overlooking the ocean? Want something to do at night? There are plenty of night time entertainment options!
Are you worried about traveling during a pandemic? You shouldn’t be with Sandals. I never felt unsafe at Sandals with their Platinum Protocol of Cleanliness. Before you step foot in a building, a restaurant, or one of their transfer vehicles they are giving you hand sanitizer. They are doing specialized cleaning of each room between guests, and I even had to break the seal to my room before I could open my door upon arrival. Yes, you have to have a negative Covid test within three days of re-entering the United States, but Sandals makes this very easy for their guests. They have you set up an appointment time that’s convenient for you, and they have a doctor administer the test onsite. I didn’t wait long for my appointment and it was over in no time. It didn’t take more than 10 minutes out of my vacation! My negative test results that I needed were waiting in my room later that day.
Sandals excellent service made me feel like a queen! Everyone is so nice and accommodating! Their staff were some of the most friendly people I have ever met. Am I sold on the Sandals brand? Yes!!! I can’t wait to visit their family resort Beaches Negril in May!
